If someone were to install telecommunications equipment, it would most likely be because they wanted to be able to use it for their own personal gain. By having this equipment, they would be able to keep in touch with their loved ones or business associates much easier than if they did not have it. Additionally, it would allow them to have access to information that they would not otherwise have.
